The township of Lurg is situated at the mouth of Glen Banchor and lies to the E of the Allt a' Chaorainn on a S-facing hillside. The E half of the township is overlain by a coniferous plantation, obscuring an enclosure shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map. A hut-circle and three discrete groups of small cairns are disposed across the hillside on the N fringe of the township.
