There are seven huts and a pen scattered over a distance of 450m from NW to SE along the NE bank of the Allt Fionndrigh. Apart from a stone-walled hut set at the foot of the hillslope (KING95 324), the huts are much reduced and overgrown with heather, and are most easily seen where there has been recent burn-off. They range in size from 5.4m to 10.3m in length by between 3.6m and 5m in breadth overall, and, with the exception of two which have stone walls up to 0.8m thick, they are defined by turf or earthen banks (KING95 324, 326). The pen is a quadrilateral, two-compartment structure, measuring 3.5m from NW to SE by 3m transversely within rubble-walls 1m thick and 0.5m high (KING95 331). The stone and concrete abutments are all that survives of a bridge across the Allt Fionndrigh adjacent to the shieling-huts (NH 6639 0164).
