This oval grass-grown mound is situated in the gully of the burn named Allt na Criche Tuatha and measures 6m from NNE to SSW by 2m and up to 0.5m in height. It lies on the E side of the burn and is bisected by the ditch of a boundary wall which runs the length of the gully across the island. This wall, although now ruinous, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, sheet lix, 1881) but is not shown on an estate map dated to 1805.
(Canna 973).
