Full Description

NH62NW 7.01 6110 2974.

At NH 6110 2974 set into a NW-facing slope is an oval stone-walled hut measuring c.11.0m NE-SW by c. 10.0m transversely between the centres of a wall spread to c. 3.0m. The simple entrance is at the change of slope in the NE.
The hut occurs within a contemporary field system marked mainly by ruinous walls, with occasional stone clearance heaps and lynchets. Cultivation plots average about 60.0m by 30.0m with some larger and others smaller.
Hut surveyed at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (A A) 9 December 1971.
