This group of at least four huts, one subcircular pen and an enclosure lies at the foot of steep cliffs on a narrow terrace amidst boulder scree. The huts vary in shape, but all incorporate large boulders, and they range in internal size from 1.2m square to 4m in diameter. The smallest hut (NG 2500 0669) appears to be set in a low circular mound at the E end of a subrectangular enclosure; the latter measures 4m from ENE to WSW by 3m transversely within a bank of boulders and small stones spread up to 1.5m in thickness (NG 2499 0669). The subcircular pen lies at the E end of another hut and is perhaps the best preserved of all these structures; it measures 4m in diameter within a tapering rubble wall surviving in part to a height of 1.1m (NG 2500 0668). There are another three possible huts formed by scatters of stones and large boulders, one of which incorporates two massive boulders capped by a third, as if to form a roof (NG 2500 0668).
(Canna 183-6, 1005-9).
Visited by RCAHMS (SPH, ARG), 10 March 1996.
