A building and five mounds, one of which is clearly overlain by a later rectangular structure, lie to either side of a ruinous field-wall on terraces on the W side of Fang na Fola that have been cultivated with lazy-beds (NG20NW 131.01). The mounds vary in both size and shape, the largest being almost subrectangular and measuring 13m by 8m, while the smallest is circular and 6.5m in diameter. They are probably the remains of collapsed huts, two of which appear to have been built entirely of turf and have been badly damaged by rabbit burrowing. The rest contain a considerable amount of stones, some of which may belong to structures.
The mound overlain by the structure lies on the N side of the field-wall, and there is what is either the remains of a building or an enclosure on the opposite side of the wall. At roughly this location, the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, 1881, sheet lix) depicts a square enclosure or unroofed building abutting the N side of a field-wall, but the depiction of other structures here cannot be reconciled with the surviving remains, and it is possible that the surveyors have placed this structure on the wrong side of the wall. The mound is oval and fairly stony and the overlying structure measures 7m from N to S by 4.6m transversely overall; it is defined by a wall of boulders and appears to be round-angled on the N. The building or enclosure that lies on the S side of the wall, is relatively well-preserved, although the relationship between the two is uncertain. It measures 8.4m from E to W by 4.3m transversely within a stone wall 1m in thickness and 0.5m in height. It has an entrance in its S wall and a small pen has been inserted in its NW corner.
(Canna 301-6, 986-7).
