A farmstead, comprising two buildings lying in dense bracken on an E-facing slope overlooking the Lochan Dubh nan Cailleach, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth. The longer building, which is possibly a byre-dwelling, measures c.12m from NNW to SSE by 4m with turf walls. There is a centrally-placed, 4m long drain at the N end of the building. A second possible building, measuring 10m by 4m, lies about 30m to SSE. Two drystone enclosures lie at c.30m and c.70m the SSW of the smaller buiilding.
None of the features are depicted on either the 1st edition or the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch maps (Ross-shire, 1867, sheets lvi and lvii; Ross and Cromartyshire 1906, sheet lvi). The farmstead is situated above the head-dykes of the field-systems noted under NG87SW 24.00.
