This single span stone military bridge over the Allt na Fearna Burn is in a generally overgrown state. Originally 4.4m wide, with its span being 4m, only the arch ring and abutments survive, as the parapet and upper courses of stone have disappeared. Reported by the OS (March 1979) as being slightly damaged on the S side, it has deteriorated more (Logie 1997), with even the arch ring crumbling and a later wooden platform surmounting it being in a decayed and overgrown condition. Wooden fences block access to the bridge on both sides and a modern Bailey bridge, consisting of a wooden platform supported by iron struts with an iron railing, has superseded it. However, it is not in a good condition, as the wood is rotting and the metal is severely eroded.
Visited by OS March 1979.
M Logie (Highland Council) 1997; NMRS MS 1007/6.
