Six low small cairns, in a hollow close to the ridge top of Creag Mheadhonach, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie. The cairns range in size from 3m to 5m in diameter and are constructed of larger stones than seen elsewhere in the area (NH91SW 4, 54 and 55) and exposed stone is visible at the surface. One of the cairns, which had been disturbed, contains a large flat stone which could have formed the capstone of a cist. A crude box-like structure within the disturbed stone of the cairn may have been a cist.
