This concrete pillbox is situated to the SE of the railway bridge at Balinoe on the E side of the railway where a track leads to the shore. The pillbox is now used as an animal shelter.
This is a large anti-tank pillbox with a wider embrasure for the anti-tank gun which has at a later period been bricked up to create a smaller aperture to accommodate a machine gun. In one of the loopholes is a Turnbull mounting.
