A boundary bank, extending NW from the upper reaches of a small burn near the foot of Sgeir Bhuidhe over Tom nan Eildean towards Loch Teacuis, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin estate. The bank was traced for about 1500m and is about 1.3m thick and stands up to 0.9m in height as a bank and 1.1m in height where preserved as a wall. On Sgeir Bhuidhe and Tom nan Eildean, the boundary bank is well defined with stone coursing visible in places. On the low, level boggy ground between these two hills, the bank is much fainter with a slight ditch on the W. On the NE-facing slopes of Tom nan Eildean, the course of the bank becomes obscured with deeper vegetation growth and fades out to the S of the boundary bank (NM65NW 31).
The boundary bank corresponds to the SE march of the Drimnin Estate as depicted on 'A plan of the Estate of Drimnin The property of Sir Charles Gordon 1836' by D Wilson (SRO, RHP 3258) although the present boundary lies a little further to the SE.
