A farmstead, comprising two buildings, one of which has an adjoining yard and is attached to the E side of a large enclosure, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin estate. The farmstead lies towards the base of a hillside overlooking Loch Teacuis to the NE.
The larger building (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.119), situated on the E side of the enclosure, is subrectangular with rounded corners. It measures 9.25m from NW to SE by 4.4m over 0.7m thick coursed drystone rubble walls standing up to 0.65m in height. The entrance is on the NE. A 4.2m long outshot abuts the SE end, whilst a rectangular enclosure, or kailyard, adjoins the building on the SW side. The enclosure, which measures 15.2m from N to S by 9.25m is defined b a 1.1m wide wall standing up to 0.6m in height. It appears to overlie some lazy-beds.
The building, and its attached yard, lies at the E side of a large enclosure which is open on the W. Within there is a second building (NMRS MS 1012/1, no.120), at NM 6106 5779, lying on the N edge of an area of cultivated ground. Subrectangular on plan with rounded corners, it measures 6.8m by 4.25m over a wall which is 0.85m thick on the NE and 1.3m thick and up to 0.5m high. Elsewhere it is spread to 1.3m in width. There is an entrance on the NE side. The cultivated ground, measuring up to 65m from NE to SW by up to 45m, is distinguished by herb-rich grassland and bracken in contrast to the surrounding heather and molina. The lazy-beds, noted above, abut the E side of this area.
A second enclosure, may lie to the N of the farmstead. It is now represented by a dyke swinging northwards from the E end of the outshot to the larger building.
J G Robertson December 1997; NMRS MS 1012/1, nos.119 to 123

Neither the buildings, nor the enclosure dykes are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xxxix) although the larger building with its adjacent enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1974).
