A fish trap, comprising two walls projecting into the large tidal inlet towards the E end of the island, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin Estate. The walls are very substantial with well-built, 1.3m wide pcand 0.9m high, with vertical sides and flat tops, constructed of large irregular stones. According to Gaskill (1968) the trap made considerable use of the considerable tidal flow into and out of the large eastern inlet and consists of a large double wall at the neck and a second wall a further 110 yards back.
