A farmstead, situated to the E of the Reay Burn, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of Sandside Estate. It comprises one rectangular building with two compartments, each measuring 4m by 2.6m, set on the NE side of an enclosure. This enclosure surrounds a rocky knoll with a flat area to the S and measures about 29m by 19m. The enclosure walls have been robbed down to their footings and are overlain by a series of curving walls, tumbled down in places. These are probably the remains of a sheepfold.
