A farmstead, comprising two unroofed buildings and one enclosure, and what may be a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet vi), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 30 September 1998.

This farmstead, comprising four buildings, two enclosures, four clearance cairns and an enclosure dyke, lying on the afforested the S-facing slope overlooking Loch Eil, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey on the Fassfern Estate.
The largest building (NMRS MS 899/175, no.1b) is aligned along the slope and measures 22m from E to W. It comprises three rooms, the central one of which is original. It measures 12m by 6m with walls up to 1m in width and standing up to 1.5m in height. There is an entrance midway along the S wall. The extension on the E measures 5m by 6m with 1m wide walls standing up to 1m in height. The W outshot measures 4m by 3m and is flush with the S wall of the original structure. The walls are 0.75m to 1m in width and 1m high. Both outshots have entrances on the S. To the S of the building, there are two enclosures, the E of which is depicted on the 1st edition map. It is subrectangular with a 2m wide stone wall standing up to 0.5m in height. It measures 17m from E to W but has been truncated on the S by a forestry road. The second enclosure (NMRS MS 899/175 no.1c) is subcircular, measuring 10m by 12m, with a 1m wide stone and turf bank standing 0.75m in height on the N and W but only 0.3m in height on the S and E.
The other buildings are small. The building (NMRS MS 899/175, no.1e) on the SW is rectangular with rounded corners. It measures 11m from NNE to SSW by 5m with walls measuring up to 1.5m in width and standing up to 1.5m in height. There is a blocked doorway on the E. A smaller building (NMRS MS 899/175, no.1f), measuring 5.5m by 4.5m with a wall spread up to 1m in width and standing 1m high, lies to the E. A third possible subrectangular building, to the E, has been reduced to an area of tumbled stone no more than 0.4m in height.
To the N of the farmstead but within the head-dyke, there is a group of four moss-covered, clearance cairns measuring 4m in diameter and standing up to 0.5m in height. The head-dyke encloses an area of 100m by 200m. It comprises a largely collapsed stone wall spread up to 2m in width and standing up to 0.8m in height. The wall has been destroyed on the E and close to the forest road.
