NH 76 43 A rapid archaeological survey was carried out on a proposed WGS on Clava Estate in 1998. Long heather and extensive scrub probably obscured other sites. The following new site was recorded:
NH 752 427 Two roundhouses and associated clearance cairns were noted in mature woodland. The best-preserved house measured 7m internally with stone wall footings 1.5m wide. The extent of this settlement could not be established due to extensive gorse scrub.
Report lodged with the NMRS and Highland SMR.
Sponsors: Iain MacLennan Associates; Clava Estate.
