Full Description

NH63SW 14 6212 3390.

(Group centred: NH 6212 3390) 'Many cairns here. The circular beach here by the ruined cottage may not be natural.
Information from Major C J Shaw to OS 5 Feburary 1962.

The only features near the positions indicated by C J Shaw appear to be stone clearance heaps. The 'circular beach' would seem to be an allusion to an earth and stone bank up to 4.0m wide and 0.6m high that follows a course close to the shore of Loch Ashie. It is probably an old flood-bank. There was nothing seen near the sites indicated on the west side of the road at NH 6214 3390.
Visited by OS (R D) 28 August 1963.

Confirmed as two stone clearance heaps of indeterminate date and a modern flood embankment.
Visited by OS (N K B) 3 Feburary 1970.

Afforested.
