This pillbox is situated in a field adjacent to a drain, immediately inshore from the Kyle of Sutherland, just S of Bonar Bridge. One of the heavy type for anti-tank and machine guns it has a Turnbull mounting inside. The pillbox was constructed to cover the former A9 trunk road on the SE approaches to Bonar Bridge.
