Early C19 hotel. Marked on 1st edition 25" OS map c.1872 and is annotated as an Inn. By the time of the 2nd edition OS map c.1905 it is has been extended and is now annotated as Hotel. The building has undergone a number of significantly alterations, additions and changes in subsequent years but the main core of the building has been retained <1>.
