This church, and the adjacent manse, was commissioned by the United Free Church and was probably built to a design by architect Robert J Macbeth. <1>

Elizabeth Beaton describes this as "a plain gabled bilding whose internal fittings were provided by Farr expatriates". <2>

John Gifford describes the building as being "just like a hall except for the front gable's Gothic window and the wooden canopy for a bell above". He describes the adjacent manse as being contemporary. <3>
