A farmstead, situated towards the base of a SW-facing slope above a broad terrace, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey on the Rahoy Estate. On the NE side of a 50m square enclosure there are two conjoined buildings, each measuring 7.5m by 3.5m within 0.7m thick walls standing up to 1.5m in height on the N but reduced to only 0.3m on the S. Each building has an entrance on the S side. The ruins of a third building lie near the E side of the enclosure. Surviving as a rectangular spread of stones and a short length of bank, it measures roughly 8m by 3m overall and stands up to 0.8m in height. The farmstead is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xl). A sub-circular enclosure, measuring roughly 10m across within a turf-covered bank 1m wide and 0.5m high. A low turf-covered dyke encloses a patch of old improved ground with occasional clearance cairns towards it N side.
