(Suspension bridge of James Dredge type: location cited as NH 665 438). Built 1853-4 by James Dredge, engineer. Cast-iron pylons, tapering iron rod chains of Dredge type, iron frame to booms, wooden deck. Span 83 ft (25.3m) Public footbridge. <1>

This bridge has been demolished and was removed from the statutory list on 16 January 1998. <3>

One of a pair of Dredge bridges, built 1853-4. Island Bank Road Bridge was 83 feet in span. It replaced an earlier bridge, erected in 1829 for the opening up of Ness Islands. This early bridge fell in 1849. <4>
