A large brick built aircraft shooting butt is situated about 100m S of the decontamination centre (ND26NW 36.04).
Built to the N of the fence, aircraft would have been parked to the S of the road on a concrete platform with the fuselage raised and the guns then test fired across the road into a sand pit set between two stepped butress walls. Traces of the platform can be seen on the S side of the road.
Visited by RCAHMS (DE, SW), 14 August 2000.
