A very damaged modern pill-box, with rubble strewn over the beach. The base is visible in section, 3 to 4m long.
C E Batey 1981.

Type 24 pillbox has been identified from post-war RAF vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 74, 3007-8, flown 9 May 1946). The pillbox is siutated on the edge of the shore about 20m NE of the Observation Tower (ND35SW 52).
