The location of the beach at Wick remains uncertain. Whittaker cites the cargo as slates and places the loss 'near the Bishop's Castle, Thurso' [presumably Bishop's Castle or Scrabster Castle, Thurso, ND16NW 3, at ND 1068 6915].
