Full Description

A flat bronze axe some 6ins long 'found in the neighbourhood of Inverness' according to the card accompanying the exhibit, is in Inverness Museum; no accession number.
Visited by OS 31 March 1960.

Coles, listing a type Ba axe from Fairfield Road, Inverness, in Inverness Museum, is presumably referring to the same axe. (Fairfield Road runs from NH 6526 4553 to NH 6618 4524).

(Flat axe of Migdale type). Slightly corroded, black-brown, butt broken; length remaining 122mm, butt (?), cutting edge 91mm, weight 340 gms. Inverness Museum (00.80).
