A topographic survey along projected road transect in advance of road widening scheme. Previous surveys had detected the major settlement sites. A large number of less prominent settlement sites and relict field systems were recognised and recorded. In addition full vegetation and soil surveys were undertaken and a deep peat profile was sampled for pollen analysis.
M Dalland and R McCullagh 1988.
