Obstructions (including buoy chains and mooring blocks) associated with submarine training during the Second World War extend along the SW shore of Loch Cairnbawn [Loch a' Chairn Bhain] between Kerrachar Bay [name centred NC 180 348] and Poll a' Ghamhna. [The latter feature is not noted on the 1998 edition of the OSC 1:50,000 map, but Eilean a' Ghamhna is at NC 205 333].
