Full Description

A farmstead comprising three unroofed buildings, two of which are long buildings, and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 27 November 1995

Acharynie (OS 6" map, 1963): Footings of three buildings one incorporating a corn drying kiln. The largest is 27 by 4m. Associated enclosures adjoin the footings.
Visited by OS 16 March 1982.
