Full Description
NH62NW 27 6053 2826.
This kidney-shaped burnt mound is situated in scrub woodland about 15m from the N shore of Loch Ruthven. It measures 16.9m from E to W by 11.3m transversely and 1.5m in height. The mound opens out on the N where there is an old stream channel. Lifting a sod revealed cracked stone and charcoal set in a matrix of black soil. What may be a second burnt mound lies some 20m to the NNE.
