IGDL: Fletcher laid out extensive pleasure grounds and gardens. West of the house the Killen Burn was dammed to form a lochan (Killen Lake) for boating, fishing and duck shooting. The dam formed a series of waterfalls called the Horseshoe Falls…. A timber boat house ornamented the north shores.
