Full Description

This post medieval settlement, situated 1150m NE of Wag Hill, consists of five buildings, including a long house, two rectangular buildings, a kiln barn and a possible barn. To the E of the houses is a stone-walled enclosure and traces of rig and furrow are visible to the S and SE of the settlement.

A farmstead comprising five unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxxviii). Three unroofed building and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
