as being manned 3 Oct 1940 by 51 Brigade, 108 Regiment, 292 battery and 15 Oct 1942 by 51 Brigade, 113 Regiment and 366 battery.

Now a view point for the Skye Bridge. The battery was armed with 2 x 3 inch guns. The Code was B1 and the battery was known as Kyle. Guns could be used in a Coastal Defence role as well as Heavy AA. J A Guy, 20th Century Defences, (report nos. 1, 8 & 11)

The site of a heavy anti-aircraft battery on Plock of Kyle. The battery consisted of two 3-inch guns and its associated accommodation camp. Nothing survives of the battery, though huts bases can be found in the area.
