The farmstead of Laimhrig is situated on a terrace running parallel to the shore to the S of Bagh na h-Uamha; it comprises two well-preserved buildings which appear to overlie the remains of a third. Of the later buildings, the larger measures 5.7m by 2.9m within a wall 1m thick and 1.3m high, and it has a second compartment (4.2m by 2.2m internally) butted on to its N end; the smaller building measures 3.3m by 2.4m internally. The earlier building measures 6.7m by 2.8m within a wall 1.2m thick and 0.5m high. Adjacent to the buildings there are two enclosures.
Visited by RCAHMS May 1983
Two unroofed buildings are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Islands of Rum, Sanday etc., 1879, sheet lxvii). Three unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
