Ballachulish peat-moss is centred at NN 054 604; otherwise no further information.
Visited by OS (R L) 6 May 1970.

From Ballachulish peat-moss, ox and deer horns of large size, casks of 'bog butter', wooden basins, platters and bowls have been found from time to time, the 'bog-butter' casks being always hollowed out of solid block of wood.
