A short distance westward of Kilmallie Church, down to the left near the shore of Loch Eil, is the old water-wheel mill where the grain from the surrounding district was ground.
D B MacCulloch 1938.

The wheel-house of the old mill is still intact, complete with machinery, but it has not been used since the early years of the century. The mill-pond is dry, the water having been diverted during the late war (Information from Mrs F A Sutton, Mill house).
