Full Description
Fragments of Celtic cross slab, repaired and mounted on plinth, stand in entrance porch. <1>
The probable location of a monastery is supported by the number of early carved stones which have been found in or near Kildonan church (see MHG25041). One of these (no.5) remains inside the building and the others are displayed in the porch of The Lodge at Galmisdale (NM 4790 8420). Canmore entry contains details of the fragments of carved stones on display. <2>
