NM39NE 19 364 997 to 363 998

On the banks of Kilmory River, S of Salisbury's Dam, there are the remains of at least seven huts of single- and double-compartment type, one of which stands on a shieling mound. A further two huts, one occupying a shieling mound, are situated to the NNW, on a low spur overlooking the dam.
Visited by RCAHMS June 1983

One unroofed shieling-hut is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Islands of Rum, Sanday etc., 1879, sheet lx), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
