For huts, mounds, pottery and field-system around NG 2215 0536, see NG20NW 17.
A hut-circle, a grass-grown mound and a rectangular hut are situated on a boggy terrace below Ceann Creag-airighe, and to the W of the gully of the burn named Allt na Criche Tuatha. The hut-circle (NG 2251 0556) measures 9.3m in diameter within a stony bank spread up to 2.3m in thickness and 0.4m in height. A few outer facing-stones are visible on the W, but no entrance is visible and the interior is filled by peat. The mound lies about 25m to the NW on the leading edge of the terrace, and is 5m in diameter and 0.4m in height.
The hut is located 60m to the SW (NG 2245 0552) at the foot of the crag that forms the back of the terrace; it measures 3m from NNW to SSE by 2.5m within a crudely formed boulder wall. A wall defined by a row of boulders immediately to the W of the hut and extending across the terrace from the foot of the crag is one of a number of orthostatic walls protruding through the peat over a distance of about 200m around the hut-circle. Most of them cut across terraces, apparently combining with the crags and outcrops to form a series of fields or enclosures, but others drop down the slope from the crags of Ceann Creag-airighe into the gully of Allt na Criche Tuatha, and one can be traced intermittently over a distance of about 300m across the lower ground to the N of the hut-circle.
At least three stretches of such walling form D-shaped enclosures at the foot of crags (NG 2245 0548, 2235 0554 and 2257 0563). It is likely that that this field-system extended to the W to include the walls described under NG20NW 17.
