(NG 433515) Glenhaultin: shown as a township in 1824 (W Johnson's Map of Skye, 1824) but deserted by 1878 (OS 6"map, Inverness-shire, Island of Skye, 1st ed.)

Glenhaultin: a depopulated township consisting of 21 ruined houses and some small enclosures. There are extensive lazy-beds in the area.
Visited by OS (A S P) 30 April 1961.

A township, a farmstead and a building are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1881, sheet xvii). The township comprises eighteen unroofed buildings, five enclosures, a sheepfold, a head-dyke and a field-system. The farmstead (NG 4420 5145) comprises two roofed buildings and an enclosure. Another roofed building (NG 4361 5137) is also shown.
On the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968) the township comprises one roofed and seventeen unroofed buildings, four enclosures, two sheepfolds, part of a head-dyke and a field-system. The farmstead comprises six unroofed buildings and an enclosure. The building is shown as unroofed.
