Centred NG 769 042: A large deserted settlement is situated on the lower slopes in this area, between the river (to the W) and two burns (to the N and S), is shown on OS 1:10,000 map, 1991 and as it lies a significant distance from the area proposed for afforestation, it was not surveyed in any detail.
