Full Description

Situated 1500m WNW of Loedebest is a post medieval farmstead which consists of a range of structures including buildings, enclosures and an area of infield cultivation. The buildings include two long houses, a small square building and a kiln barn. There is a small fan-shaped enclosure to NW of W building. In addition an area of rig and furrow lies to N and NW of the buildings.

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and an enclosure, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxxviii). Three unroofed buildings, an enclosure and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
