Full Description

This cairn is situated on the floodplain of Strathfleet, in the corner of an improved field on the S side of the A839 public road. It measures 16m in diameter and 0.7m in height; occasional boulders around the edge, particularly on the NE, may be the remains of a kerb. The cairn is flat-topped and there is a hollow about 5m in diameter in the centre; this hollow has the appearance of recent disturbance, although the possibility that this is a ring cairn cannot be entirely discounted. A field bank runs E from the cairn.
