Full Description
In the area centred at NN 711 950, lying on a flat plain between Allt na Feithe Moire and Allt Phoineis are the remains of the small settlement of Lynallan, depopulated according to the local farmer, in the mid 19th c. They consist of about five buildings varying in size from 25.0m x 4.5m to 7.5m x 3.5m, two corn drying kilns, three small enclosures and a large field bank. The features vary from grass covered footings 0.3m high to dry stone walls 0.7m high. Several small circular depressions were also evident in this area but their purpose could not be ascertained.
