On a ridge extending south-eastwards from the summit of Cnoc Ramascaig are the disturbed remains of a stone-walled hut. The site appears to have been re-used probably as a shieling area, for the northern half of the hut has been severely mutilated and robbed, though the south arc is well defined within a clearly visible inner face of slabs on edge. It would have measured 12.0m WNW-ESE by 11.0m internally if complete, with an entrance in the ESE where there are two upright portal stones; two further uprights in the NW arc may have been set up later than the hut. A tumbled wall running diametrically across the hut appears contemporary with the hut's probable re-use as a shieling, or with the footings of a rectangular house 10.0m to the SE. There is no evidence of associated cultivation in the vicinity; several shielings occur on the ridge nearby.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.

This enclosure, which may be a hut-circle, is situated on the crest of a knoll about 60m N of the power pylon beside the forestry plantation. It measures about 12m in diameter within a wall which has a substantial orthostatic inner face. This is best preserved on the S but also includes two slabs up to 0.5m high flanking an entrance 1.8m wide on the SE. The entrance passage was flanked by two further slabs but the northerly one has been removed and only a hole is visible. At the entrance the wall is about 1.7m thick. Overlying the hut-circle there is a small enclosure which may be associated with the building (c. 9 x 3m overall) which lies about 7m to the SSE.
