Formerly entered as ND38SE 8013 at cited location ND c. 38 84 [N58 44 W3 4].
(Classified as steam trawler: date of loss cited as 4 June 1930). Lord Percy: this vessel stranded on Piggy Skerry, on the West side of Stroma.
Registration: Grimsby. Built 1911. 215grt. Length: 36m. Beam: 7m.
(Location of loss cited as N58 41.0 W3 8.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.
Ridley cites an alternative location on the W side of Swona, and thus within the quasi-administrative area designated as Maritime - Orkney. The location cited by Whittaker is preferred.
Piggy Skerry is not noted as such on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map off either island.
