Full Description

NMRS Report: (11/10/2004)
ND35SE 103.15 c. 3610 5251

A Pickett-Hamilton type pillbox was recorded on the E side of the N-S runway. The pillbox had been extracted from the ground during improvements to the airport and the exact orginal location remains unknown but was probably at the junction of the main E-W and N-S runways.
The pillbox, circular in shape, retained the pump mechanism required to raise and lower the installation, which has subsequently been laid on the ground beside the main structure.
