NLO: Sound of Mull [name centred NM 58 46].
Ullapool, 6th Nov. 'The MARY, McFie, of Glasgow, struck on a rock in the Sound of Mull, 31st ult., fell off, and sunk: crew saved. The wreck and greater part of the cargo have since been saved.'

(Classified as sloop, with cargo of herring, salt and casks: date of loss cited as 30 October 1837). Mary: this vessel was lost off Loch Broom, or possibly in the Sound of Mull.
Registration: Glasgow. 51 tons burthern. Length: 16m. Beam: 5m.
(Location of loss cited as N57 56.0 W5 15.0).
