Full Description

NMRS Report: (01/11/2004)
NM33NW 8001 unlocated

NLO: Staffa [name: NM 325 355]
Little Colonsay [name: NM 376 368]
Colonsay [name centred NR 37 93].

Tobermory, 12th Feb. A large vessel is reported sunk to the west of North Colonsay, west of Mull and inside Staffa Island. One of the masts above water appears to be broken above the deck, the heel of it being about 15 feet above water, with yards, topmasts, and sails. Very little can be ascertained about her until the weather settles.

NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 11201).

The map sheet assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. North Colonsay is presumably to be equated with Little Colonsay.
This loss is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
