Full Description

NMRS Report: (13/04/2004)
NH33SE 1.04 3963 3121

On the W of a drain in improved pasture on the E edge of the site (NH33SE1.00), there is a kidney-shaped burnt mound. It measures 8.1m from NW to SE by 7m transversely and 0.4m in height, and has a hollow in its SW side, possibly for a trough. Lifting the turf revealed heat-shattered stone in a matrix of blackened soil.
